ASB/Leadership

Leadership provides academic, practical and lifelong skills such as initiative, cooperation, public speaking, and accounting.  Studetns learn to plan, organize, and maintain an effective co-curricular program designed to actively involve the school/community.  It promotes communication between administrators, faculty, and students.  Emphasis is on individual responsibility, performance, and student input.

Leadership is an excellent opportunity for students to be active participants in their educational experience at Washington Middle School.  Leadership class is an elective class.  Leadership requires dedication and commitment on the part of the students, but will be incredibly rewarding and fun as well.  To be a part of the Leadership team, you must meet academic and citizenship eligibility requirements.  Applications for incoming students are taken during second semester of the school year for the following school year.

In addition to after-school parties and rallies, the Leadership class plans school-wide activities such as dress-up days, spirit weeks, school-wide fundraisers, Student of Character celebrations, Red Ribbon Week, Test-prep activity week, Fun Friday lunchtime activities, and Renaissance celebrations just to name a few!
