2025-2026 ELAC Meetings

English

The purpose of ELAC is to provide all parents of English learners a forum in which they can become actively involved in their child’s education. ELAC provides opportunities for parents to formulate and make recommendations:

To develop the school’s plan for programs and services for English Learners (makes recommendations but does not have approval authority);
To assist in the development of the school’s needs assessment;
To make parents aware of the importance of regular school attendance.

El propósito de ELAC es brindar a todos los padres de estudiantes aprendices de inglés un foro en el que puedan participar activamente en la educación de sus hijos. ELAC brinda oportunidades para que los padres formulen y hagan recomendaciones:

Desarrollar el plan de la escuela para programas y servicios para aprendices de inglés (hace recomendaciones pero no tiene autoridad de aprobación).
Ayudar en el desarrollo de la evaluación de necesidades de la escuela.
Concientizar a los padres sobre la importancia de la asistencia regular a la escuela.

The first ELAC meeting will be August 21 at 6:00 PM in WMS Library.

The Food Bank of Monterey will have bags for the first 30 families! We hope to see you there to help support our English language learners!

¡El Banco de Alimentos de Monterey tendrá bolsas para las primeras 30 familias! ¡Esperamos contar con su presencia para apoyar a nuestros estudiantes de inglés.
